SMOKEY
Was abandoned by her owner at a local facility. She had foundered and rotated in one foot and her owner did not want the expense or to take the time to see if we could correct the situation. After a year of special shoeing she is sound again and starting very light work with one of our young Was dumped at an auction in Texas. We were told he was 16 but after his initial exam we discovered he is only 9. We have no idea what his beginnings were and while he was not in horrible shape he was very shut down and has taken some time to come out of his shell and enjoy the company of humans..

APPLE JACK
Apple Jack came to use via a horse auction. My friend sent me a picture of a yearling mare that had the same marking as her mare and I noticed what looked like a baby standing behind her. We know nothing of his history except he was approximately 4 months old, was branded on his shoulder and rear and dumped at the auction.The poor guy was terrified of humans so we have been working to gain his trust. He is growing like a weed and loves hanging out with his buddy Silver.
