We are helping these mares. Can you help too?
Momma came in with group of Mares with babies, Pregnant mares and young horses.
Her foal was severely injured and sadly did not survive. We rescued her and she is currently in a quarantine facility. The Veterinarian came out and had to dart her to sedate her so they could exam her. She has been diagnosed with strangles and has a very high white cell count. She has been started on antibiotics and a feed through worming product. She will have to stay at the quarantine facility for at least 30 days. Please see it in your heart to donate to her care.
This Mare does not have a name. She was being used in as a surragote mare making money for someone and when she got too old she was starved and dumped at an auction.She has been picked up and taken to the quarantine center where we will have the vet and farrier out to take care of her. Updates to follow as you can clearly see her needs are clearly extensive.
